So here is the official update on the game, it supposedly is entering testing.

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/0 ... n_progress
As our first significant game update nears completion, we will soon be entering the Nintendo Switch-specific testing phase. And hopefully, if our test team doesn’t break it too badly, we’ll be in a position to deliver you a final release date shortly after.

We’re also pleased to confirm that all of the important additions and changes contained in our upcoming game update will be included on day one in the Nintendo Switch version of Yooka-Laylee, in addition to the ability to play on the go!

Thanks again for your patience. We’re looking forward to putting Yooka-Laylee for Nintendo Switch in your hands!

Glad to hear SOME update at least. Even if it is an "update is coming" kind of update. :P

Look what finally has a release date. Only took several months.

Well I guess I'll use my Kickstarter code. Would have liked it sooner. And with Hat in Time finally getting on the PS4 I'll have a lot of 2nd tier 3D platforming to enjoy.
You cannot grasp the true form of this post! Sorry.

Ahh bless. This is nice news, though it feels a little sad that there's no more excitement for this game.

This was the one good thing to happen to me during the day today. Reading this news. So pleased it's on it's way. I need to hold on Xenoblade 2 so this will be a nice diversion.

Lucky! They wouldn't let me switch to the Switch version from my Kickstarter pledge. :/ Got stuck with the PC one, can't get them to swap it.

Why weren't you able to? I don't recall having an issue doing this myself.

@Banjo

They said I missed some cut off and there was then nothing they could do about it, even though at the time the game wasn't even released on any platform. It was before the Switch version was announced, I believe, but it's been so long I couldn't tell you for sure. Is what it is at this point. Kickstarter is great when it functions as expected and not so great when plans change from what was originally said!

I don't recall how long that period was but I do recall being notified about it.

Perhaps as a way to salvage this, maybe you can sell your PC code to someone to make some money back or gift it away in a NinTemple giveaway! Perhaps even a Secret Santa opportunity... if anyone around here wants to do that.
