New Forum and Feedback Thread

Post by NinSage » Wed May 25, 2016 6:31 am

It's late...I'm tired.... I just got the site's structure and a good bit of the content together. So I'm going to leave it at that for tonight. But the forum is up! I'm gonna give it a whirl to leave this rendition of the forum as ONE forum with a whole heap of random topics. I see more and more forums going in this direction and it makes sense, so, we'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Have fun re-populating this forum with some of the old thread favorites! Hopefully it won't take us too long to get back to where we were ^_^

Sometime in the next week I will make this forum pretty and finish adding the rest of the site content.

For now, leave feedback on any bugs or snags or things that I have forgotten to add that are important and/or where present in the old forums!

Welcome back!

I'm really liking the look of the front page :)
It didn't take that long for spam bots to find the forum lol

but im glad it's back:D

feedback:
-feature request: spoiler tags for large images
-having one forum to post in is fine for now considering the size of our community, as long as we revisit the idea of making dedicated topic forums when we eventually get a decently sized catalogue of topics.

Thanks for all your hard work on the site and forums, ninsage! :D

Really the most important thing is if I'm the first person on here to have an avatar.

Fingers crossed.

Speaking of avatars, would be good if we could add avatars via url instead of uploading to the site.
another feature request could be video embeds like we had on the old forum.

Perhaps you are. I should get one. Oh, and this is DrFinkelstein.

DrFinkelstein is the username I go by at Negative World, and well, I won't change it there but when I made an Instagram account a while back I wanted to deviate from my usual gaming name and also my forum name. I had inherited the DrFinkelstein name from my cousin's IGN account a long time ago and while I'll still go by that on Negative World, the podcast, etc, I feel like using my Instagram name here. So BanjosBackpack it is!

I hope this doesn't confuse anyone. Welcome back friends! Welcome back forum!

Thanks Lithium!

Here's some feedback for the site… why must avatars be SO SMALL?

6kb? I took an image, downsized it from like 2000 px to the 90. It has a white background even. And it's too large. By apparently a longshot.

Thank you NinSage! I'm here too again and checking in here. I won't use the sad slime avatar I've been using since the passing of Satoru Iwata, so I'll use a fresh bright one in the spirit of a new beginning for us and our new forum!

So BBcode is turned on but I can't use it. Buttons don't do anything. I can hand-type it in but I can't use buttons. Is anyone else having this issue?
