Nintendo do things their way, hee hee. Though, Pokémon isn't exactly Nintendo, so this may be GameFreak's idea.

I'm hoping this Direct will be entirely about Pokemon GO, lulz.

I expect it to be about Pokemon Stars to be honest. Though 8 minutes seems like not enough time to talk about that… and I can't imagine this being about anything else… either way, I have a meeting notice to remind me to watch live at work. Hoping for cool stuff. I'm still a Pokemon fan!

I'm pretty sure the announcement of Sun and Moon was less than 8 minutes.

Come on, new Mystery Dungeon, come on...!

Well it was just Pokken Tournament DX and some remakes of Moon/Sun or whatever. Blah.

Oh well. On to E3! At least that's out of the way now so they don't have to bother talking about it during the E3 video! :P

And apparently so was the announcement of UltraSun and Ultra Moon.

'ah, BOOM!'

I wanted Stars on Switch. I did not get what I wanted. I'm told that, as a gamer, since I didn't get what I wanted, I'm allowed to go on some kind of bitter rampage. Soooooooo ..... HERE I GO!! =P jk

Well that was a fun E3! And given the random Samus Returns announcement AFTER the Nintendo Spotlight Video, who knows, maybe more still to come.

For me, the hype went:
-Pokemon Main Real Pokemon Game for Switch announced
-Mario Odyssey looks amazing and weird and amazing
-Can't wait for Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade 2 to play alongside my wife
-2D Metroid! Woo hoo!

Among other things, of course, but those are so far my highlights. Okay, off to watch more Treehouse Live!!

so marc laidlaw (the story writer for the half-life series) just released the basic gist of the plot for hl3 in the form of a letter written by Gordon Freeman to the player/fans: http://www.marclaidlaw.com/epistle-3/
he changed the names around, but you can still tell what it's about if you're familiar with the half life series. If you want a version of it without the changed names, you can find it here: https://pastebin.com/DzKeD6dR

while this basically confirms that HL3 will never happen, at least we have some closure.
[...]I expect you know better than I the appropriate course of action, and I leave you to it. Expect no further correspondence from me regarding these matters; this is my final episode.
Yours in infinite finality,
Gordon Freeman, Ph.D.
