Yeah it was a mobile only pay as you go game. Disappointing.
That's not just disappointing...that's a freakin' travesty!

I wonder how much money it made them.
And here is a proof of the travesty.

That's certainly part of it. But, after putting so much time into MH3 and MH3U, I can conclude that the flagship games have a combination of time, frustration, grinding, and difficulty, that is just not a good value proposition for me at this point. Know what I mean?
Not entirely. The only problem is that it's tough to find co-op games to play together. :(

But when I think of needing that one rare item and running the same quest over and over and over and over and over to get it. Often needing to find human help to even try it. And often failing the quest either because the human help was not up to snuff and/or the monster did something that caused a bunch of fast and cheap KOs. I even remember times when I needed an item that was not even the most rare and yet I would get the more rare item way more times than I needed. =P

FFE has similarities of course. But, the difficulty it not nearly as high, and the drop rates are waaaaaaayyy better.

Does that clear it up any?

You know what game doesn't have rare drops?

Luigi's Mansion 2.

Just sayin'. ;)

Yea, LM2... boy ... what a weird relationship I have with that game. It was 50% of the reason I felt I needed a 3DS when I got one, and now I feel grudgingly obligated to finish the 1P campaign. =\
