Love this analysis on Super Mario Sunshine, which is still my favorite 3D Mario.

Flagged for later. I have a strong fondness of Mario Sunshine too. It had flaws, obviously, but it was out-shined by much great achievements. I should go back and play this.

Hopefully you enjoyed it, I like this guy's analysis of games, I may not always agree with all his points but he does good work IMO. It is refreshing to see someone defend SMS as a great Mario game, I just wish Nintendo would rerelease the game! Out of all their remakes and rereleases I think Super Mario Sunshine truly deserves it especially since the only way to play it now is via the Wii or Gamecube. Heck I'd be happy to just see it take advantage of HD.

So I got the urge to watch the classic Spike TV show, MXC. Severely funny stuff.

The youtube algorithm sent me down the russian/soviet animation rabbit hole:

this one's an animated version of a Russian folk tale that's basically a gender swapped version of the "frog and princess" fairy tale. It has a fantastic art style that reminds me of playing cards.
Spoiler:
this second one is about a tank that can read thoughts with incredible animation

A fond memory I have of TV I watched in the 90s, where a Lara Croft model appeared when they played the game. I tweeted this and said "how super mario odyssey should've ended".
